Our Beginning
In 2019, Ascend Commercial Builders was born out of a simple vision: construction should be clear, collaborative, and built on integrity. With just $50 in a business account and a kitchen table for an office, founder Tyler Detring and two early team members took on Ascend’s first projects.
From the start, Tyler led with a rare, client-focused approach — one that put owners first, solved problems proactively, and built trust along the way. That approach resonated. In only six years, Ascend has grown into a team of 19 full-time employees and now focuses on projects in the $1M–$15M range, while staying true to the values that fueled its beginning.
